Kinsley is an LCD display font inspired by an early seven segment display design found in Carl Kinsley’s 1903 patent for a method of electric signaling.
This display utilizes diagonal segments as well as the typical vertcal and horizontal ones, allowing more flexibility in the character designs. Kinsley is a direct digitalization of the patent designs, which feature all 26 uppercase letters and 10 numbers only.
Concept and direction by Alex Inkpen.
